It’s Wednesday in baseball, which means day games throughout the day, as well as a tasty night slate. Below, we’ll be focusing on one of the night games.

Rays Moneyline
(-130, DraftKings Sportsbook)
This is an interesting line to me, but at the same time, I understand why the Rays aren’t shorter than -130, given that they are on the road. They are 4-1 in their last five games however, and they do send ace Ryan Pepiot on the bump tonight. The Rays are 3-0 in Pepiot’s last three starts, as well as 10-8 overall, and 9-5 as a favorite (4-0 as a road favorite).
The Athletics do rank in the bottom half in AVG, ISO, wOBA and wRC+ versus right-handed pitching over the last 30 days. While the Rays lineup has been below average as well, notably since the trade deadline where they shipped out Randy Arozarena and Isaac Paredes, among others, I still slightly favor their lineup to Oakland, while they have the better starting pitcher, and a fairly identical bullpen to Oakland.
With Oakland coming in at 20-28 this season as home underdogs, I will take the Rays on the moneyline at -130 on DraftKings.
