MLB Opening Day is almost here!

We bid adieu to the most thrilling part of the year – fantasy draft season. It’s been a grueling four-month period of creating and maintaining draft prep content, rankings and projections. We kicked things off earlier than usual by releasing our first set of VDP rankings in November and NFBC Gladiator content, and we never looked back. Thank you for being a part of the preseason journey and I promise that the FTN team will take great care of you during the 2025 fantasy season.

Before shifting to in-season mode, I’d like to share my favorite fantasy players and values. My draft season began around Thanksgiving with the Gladiator contest, and I haven’t gone a day without making a draft pick somewhere since then. I stepped up my Gladiators – from six in 2024 to 18 in 2025 – and drafted a few more Draft Champions than in previous years. I won’t have to worry about FAAB in these contests, but I will have to stay on top of setting lineups for the DCs. I usually draft five Online Championships, but I drafted only four this year. The last few days have been a blur as I drafted a live Main Event and a grueling Ultimate Auction in Las Vegas, then drafted another two Main Events online when I got home. I return for another year of Tout Wars and another year partnering with my colleague Adam Young (my only shared team) for the FSGA champions league. I also kept the Underdog best ball slow drafts flowing steadily. I did not come close to maxing The Dinger, but I did draft 75 of the 150 max, as well as 35 more on Underdog. All in all, I’m in for about 20k, putting money where my mouth is and plan to compete and win despite sharing every part of my draft and in-season strategies.
