I would be shocked if Aaron Nola was not overwhelming chalk on this five-game slate. The field will see the matchup against the Marlins and plug him right in. Statistically, they wouldn’t be wrong either, because the Miami offense is not higher than 24th in wOBA, wRC , ISO, OPS or OBP with a K rate of over 23%. Nola might be on my enemies list for DFS purposes, but it’s not arguable that he’s having another strong season. The K rate is 23.1%, the ground ball rate is approaching 44%, and the ERA/xERA/xFIP trio is all under 4.00. The best argument against playing Nola is just the popularity since he’s going to need to post one of the best scores to be worth playing so I would bet that his GPP score may not be great.
