First, I wanted to take a minute to celebrate a small victory from Tuesday night’s MLB DFS slate. I rarely do this, but sometimes when you get something right to the degree of specificity that I did, you want that to linger. Not only did I write up the Brewers, most of whom ended up being less than 5% rostered, I said specifically that they would score 10-plus runs and chase Bryce Elder in the fourth inning.

Sure enough, the Brewers did both of those things, and five-man Brewers stacks did very well. They didn’t do as well if you paired them with Pablo López, which is the only reason I was thinking about them to begin with (wanted to get weird with what was assuredly going to be a chalky López). So, unfortunately, I didn’t have any five- (or even four-) figure takedowns and the associated screenshots associated therewith. But a fun moment, nevertheless.

We don’t rest on our laurels in these parts though, and we get two fun, mid-sized slates to dive right back into Wednesday.

On to Wednesday’s early slate, things are pretty straightforward. The top priorities to deploy will be Joe Ryan, Yusei Kikuchi and Luis Gil, with Joey Estes and Javier Assad as value options if not utilizing two of the top three. The pitchers to attack are also going to be pretty obvious, with Jose Urena and “Davis Martin” as the premium options to target.

But first, we shouldn’t be making lineups without consulting the tools, such as –
