If you wanted to play some aces on Tuesday’s MLB DFS slate … well, that’s not going to happen. Some pitchers can be aces on a given slate but not one that I would call an ace overall, though there are very good pitchers available. Let’s dig into them and the bats we’re going to want to target Tuesday.

The de facto ace on this slate is likely to be Michael King, and it’s odd to see no pitcher break into the five-digit range for salary. King did only score 14.5 DK points in this past start against the Bucs (a small red flag that it’s the same offense), but he also struck out seven hitters. I’m not sure I’d bet on him allowing four runs against the Pittsburgh offense twice in a row, and King has a 3.34 ERA that’s backed up by a 3.50 xFIP. He also has a 28.1% K rate, a 5.7% barrel rate and a 31.1% CSW. The changeup and sweeper are excellent whiff pitches since each one has a 34.3% whiff rate or higher, and they have combined for 82 strikeouts out of his 151 total. King also sees his K rate jump to 33.5% at home, so I think we get a better result than the last start here –
