Some weird things happening here, and we’ll start with the fact that our Friday MLB DFS slate, generally the most robust of all slates, is only a 10-gamer (which is still plenty big). With a London series taking place between the Phillies and Mets that begins Saturday, as well as four pre-7:10 p.m. ET start times, we have a little bit less to work with than is typical.
Secondly, there is a shortage of truly elite pitching, even on a 10-game slate, and as a result even the highest-priced pitcher (Yoshinobu Yamamoto) is priced below $10K. With this sort of clumping and lack of massive upside, I’m far more likely to pay down at pitching and splurge on top offenses. Spoiler alert, I like the Dodgers more than I’ve liked any offense on any slate this season. Big flag plant time.
