MLB Prop Bet of the Day

Clayton Kershaw OVER 7.5 strikeouts at Chicago (+111, DraftKings

The amount of accumulated Cubs Ks this season may outnumber Vienna Beef stands on the northside. For those familiar with the surroundings, that’s a sizable amount. This season the Windy City whiffers have fanned 26.2% of the time, the sixth-highest amount in the MLB. Javier Báez in particular can’t resist weakly poking at offspeed junk six inches outside the strike zone. Kershaw, still snapping off curveballs with consistent knee-buckling accuracy, has started off the season strong. Over 38.2 innings pitched, he’s punched out at least seven batters in four of six starts. With game-time temps expected to creep into the lower 50s and winds blowing off the lake, he should have his way against the home team in Game 1 of the doubleheader.
