Currently in the midst of a murderous road trip, the Cubs traveled from Los Angeles to Milwaukee overnight. Chances are their signature aggressiveness wasn’t left on the hotel room nightstand. Striking out at a 28.8% clip over the last 30 days, Chicago isn’t remotely bashful chasing high heat, down-in-the-zone changeups or off-the-table sliders — all part of Peralta’s repertoire. The Brewers’ gunslinger has developed into a reliable top-of-the-rotation arm. He’s totaled a sensational 12.67 K/9, induced more soft contact and, in general, located throws with more accuracy (16.4% called strike percentage). With 25 Ks in 15 IP against the Cubs this season he’s an ideal way to start the week on the right foot. It’s quite possible he books his third 10-K outing of the season.
