Always itching for action, Brad Evans scours the ‘books for a seducing wager whether NFL, NBA, MLB, Chinese ping pong, whatever. Come back daily to see where he’s blowing his bankroll. Fade or follow? That, of course, is entirely up to you.

MLB Prop Bet of the Day

Chris Bassitt OVER 5.5 strikeouts at the New York Yankees (-110, BetMGM

Eight straight losses. It’s embarrassing. It’s humiliating. It’s sad. Please, by all means, continue to #FadeTheNoise. Paul George’s failure to secure one more measly rebound extended this dimwit’s futility. In what will likely be a feeble attempt to right the ship, we return to the diamond, desperately seeking a winner. Bassitt, mercifully, will stop the bleeding. At a standard juice, he’s an attractive tourniquet. With a 3.98 ERA away, the righty has pitched decently on the road. Overall, he’s logged a 9.45 K/9, enticing a swing 10.4% of the time, on pace for a career best in the category. He’s also recorded at least six punchouts in a contest in nine of his last 11 starts. Amplifying the over lean, the Yankees rank No. 5 in highest K rate over the last month, slowly walking back to the dugout at a 26.0% clip. He’s invariably doomed, but the evidence overwhelmingly favors one side.
