Freddy Peralta OVER 7.5 strikeouts at Pittsburgh (+110, DraftKings)

If the Brewers’ righty was the dad who rescued his wife from an incensed and attacking bobcat in a viral video that made the social media rounds last week, he would’ve tossed him halfway into the next area code. The dude packs a flamethrower, occasionally touching 97 mph with his plus fastball. As effective as Peralta’s heater usually is, it’s the hurler’s hard-biting slider that lures the swinging strikes (18.1% of the time). So far through 13 innings, he’s compiled a ridiculous 16.62 K/9 and 55.2 contact percentage. Walks can be a problem at times, but he totaled 10 and eight strikeouts in back-to-back turns against the Cubs. Pittsburgh, which ranks No. 14 in K rate, has outperformed very low expectations early on. Still, hitting a lackluster .242 against RHP while striking out 26.9% of the time, the Pirates should walk the plank against Peralta. At +110, the over is a rock-solid value.
