Best MLB Bets and Picks Today

Los Angeles Angels @ Seattle Mariners

Angels -176 @ Mariners +148; Total 7 (FanDuel Sportsbook)

The entire FTN MLB team is off to a great start on the bets. I’m 25-11 +12.49x 69% so far in the regular season — and my free plays are off to a 2-0 start. With only three games after 2 p.m. ET Wednesday, we don’t have much time for a detailed writeup, so let’s get into it.

You don’t need me to tell you how incredible the American League MVP favorite Shohei Ohtani is, as he faces the Mariners in Seattle Wednesday afternoon. Chris Flexen takes the bump for the Mariners, and it’s fair to say he was rather fortunate in 2022. Flexen posted a solid 3.73 ERA, but his advanced numbers show a decent amount of regression for this season. His expected ERA was 4.62, while he posted a 4.98 FIP and 4.99 SIERA. The 28-year-old didn’t strike out many batters and was regularly hit hard, as you can see by his Baseball Savant page below.

I decided to go with the first five bet to avoid that Angels bullpen that already cost Ohtani a win on opening day. The line is currently up to -120 at FanDuel, so that’s what I’ll grade by.  As always, be sure to check out FTN’s Prop Shop and FTN’s Live Odds Page to grab the best number on the board.
