The Best MLB Props Today

San Diego Padres O 4.5 Runs

The Padres haven’t been the best hitting team against left-handed pitchers, but they’re in a good spot to make some contact Monday. They’ll see pitches at home from Marco Gonzales of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gonzales only has seven starts on the MLB resume this season — he was good in the first couple outings, but he’s coughed up at least six hits in five straight starts. Over his last four outings since returning to the rotation, he’s allowed 28 hits, 12 runs and 6 walks in 16.2 innings.

The Padres just rocked him in his last start (Aug. 7) to the tune of five runs on eight hits, including two home runs over 4.2 innings. Gonzales hasn’t completed five innings since facing the Chicago White Sox four outings ago. The “over 5.5 hits allowed” prop is heavily juiced to the over, and that makes sense when you consider his 84% contact rate.
