Best MLB Props

Zack Wheeler Over 16.5 OUTS

(-120, DraftKings)

I’ve had some fun riding the Arizona Diamondbacks as dogs throughout the playoffs, and although I think they can pull off the win in Game 1, I can’t ignore Zack Wheeler. The Phillies pitcher is the best remaining starter in the MLB postseason and was brilliant in his two playoff outings against Atlanta and Miami. He’s only allowed three runs on eight hits over 13.0 innings so far, and he has a 18:1 K:BB ratio over that span. He pitched into the seventh inning in both of those starts and has racked up at least 17 outs in four of his six playoff starts last season. He completed 5.0 and 5.1 innings in the two World Series outings.

Texas Rangers OVER 3.5 Runs

(-139, Unibet)

Framber Valdez was roughed up in his MLB postseason start against the Minnesota Twins, and I haven’t been that impressed with him of late. He walked three batters in the outing against the Twins and has walked 3+ batters in three straight starts and five of his last eight outings. He only allowed one run on six hits in Texas on September 5, but he walked four batters and got away with it. The Rangers rocked him in Houston near the end of July to the tune of six runs, two homers, eight hits and two walks. Valdez only lasted 3.2 innings. The Rangers were a top-five team versus LHP last season and are feeling it at the moment. They’ve racked up 34 runs in their six straight postseason wins (two off tying the New York Yankees for the most consecutive wins to start a postseason). They finished the regular season with wins in eight of their last 12 games (4+ runs in seven of those games).

Bonus: Rangers 1st 5 Innings

(+100, DraftKings)
