The Best MLB Props Bets

Andrew Abbott OVER 5.5 K

(+100, BetRivers Sportsbook)

Andrew Abbott is set to make his MLB debut today against the free swinging Milwaukee Brewers. Abbott racked up 90 strikeouts over 54 innings across AA and AAA this season. He had 54 punchouts over 38.1 AAA innings before his call up. In fact, the 53rd overall pick from 2021 supported a double-digit K/9 in all five of his stops through the minors. The Brewers enter the week with the 5th highest strikeout rate in the game (25%) and the highest against lefties (29.3%).

Texas Rangers OVER 5.5 Runs

(+115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

For the first month of the season we rode the Rays’ team total. Over the last month of the season, we’ve been riding the Rangers’ team total and for good reason.

The Rangers will see pitches today from Adam Wainwright who has a career high 13.0% Barrel rate and 86.5% contact rate. The Cardinals’ pitcher is striking out a career low 5.47 batters per nine innings. He also has a career high 42.4% fly ball rate. Overall, Wainwright has allowed at least seven hits in four of his five starts and he’s yet to complete six innings. In 10.2 road innings, he’s allowed 15 hits, seven doubles, nine runs and three home runs. Opponents are slashing .333/.362/.689 with a .440 wOBA away from St. Louis.
