Fantasy Football Trade Values

The fantasy football trade value chart from FTN Fantasy makes it simple for you to analyze your trade.

If you’re proposing a trade, you want to make sure it’s fair. If you’re contemplating an offer, you need to make sure you aren’t left holding the bag. Knowing trade values in fantasy football goes a long way in making these types of decisions.

What is this fantasy football trade value chart based on?

The trade value chart is based on a 12-team league that starts 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE and 1 flex.

Trade values for both standard and PPR formats are shown.

Note that these values are guidelines and best viewed “in a vacuum.” Only you know the true make-up of your roster, so it’s best to treat these values with a measure of flexibility rather than as absolutes.

How to use the Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart

This one is pretty simple and straightforward: Simply look up the value of the players you’re considering for a trade, add up their total value, and compare it to what you’d get in return.

If the numbers are close to each other, you can consider it a fair trade. It doesn’t need to be an exact match – you just want to make sure it’s not too far off.

Why to make trades in fantasy football

Aside from the fact that making trades in fantasy football is fun – it’s also one of only two ways to make your team better during the NFL season (the other being waiver wire adds).

If you end up with a surplus of talent at one position but have needs at another position, making a trade is usually your only real option.

Let’s say you have 5 WRs you have to decide from each week, but you only have 1 good RB. You should immediately look for a trade partner that has several good RBs but no depth at WR. You’re much more likely to find a solid trade partner.
