Happy FTN Launch Day!
I’ll usually rock Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) articles throughout the week. I'll focus on my core plays and lineup construction plans for the slate. I’ll usually post the night before, but this slate popped up this morning, so we are rocking with what we got.
In case you missed my Esports101 feature, check out the below on what my focus is for CSGO:
“With CSGO, I focus on the Vegas totals and K/D ratio the most here. If any slates have best of one, we focus on a 3-3 stack. If it’s best of three, I focus on a 3-2-1 stack or a 3-3 stack only. So…. How do we know the best kill/death ratio guys? The answer is all so easy. HLTV.org provides a DEEP DIVE into CSGO stats, where you can view a player's K/D and past game logs. I use past game logs, but again, I focus on the previous 10-15 matches. In CSGO, we have a CAPTAIN spot and five flex spots. I tend to focus on the heavier favorites here more than anything and focus on the BEST K/D ratio guys.
Keep it simple. 3-3 or 3-2-1 stacks with the one-off being a match that could go the distance and has a higher floor.”
Now that we got out of the way, let’s rank my favorite stacks for this slate.
- Triumph
- YEAH Gaming
- Chaos
- Team ONE
- Mythic
In case you’re wondering, I rank this from favorite to least favorite. I’ll primarily be focusing on the best kill/death ratio players, especially in the past month or last 10 matches. In CSGO, I truly believe in hot and cold streaks and it shows with every performance. I plan on rocking three lineups for this slate, and I’ll be using 3-3 and 3-2-1 stacks with the above teams ONLY.
For the CPT position, I’ll be focusing on players with safe floors and high ceilings, which for this slate consist of Junior, Xeppaa, Dumau, and Grim. Given I’m only running three lineups, my primary focus for these guys will be recent game logs. In DFS, we tend to have short term memory and focus on consistency, but this isn’t the case with CSGO.
- Xeppaa – Sits at a 1.22 K/D (this is VERY good) and has gone positive in K/D in SEVEN straight matches. He also sits as the most expensive person on the slate, but he’s worth it. I’ll run one lineup with him at CPT, but he will be in all my lineups. TOP PLAY of the slate.
- Junior – Primary AWPer (aka sniper) for Triumph, who have one of the easier matchups on the slate. He has had a positive K/D in three straight matches. He’s priced pretty low and it’s quite the bargain to fit in both Grim and Xeppaa. He will most likely be in all three lineups as well.
- Grim – Speaking of Grim. He is another guy who is the main fragger and primary player for Triumph. He has a very safe floor and should be very chalky this slate, but he’s going to be in my CPT spot given his high ceiling and safe floor.
- Dumau – This guy is +88 …. That’s 88 MORE KILLS than DEATHS in his last 7 matches. +88!! We don’t see that ever. He also has a favorable matchup and will be in ALL my lineups.
There you have it. Dumau, Junior, Xeppaa will be in all my lineups with Grim being in two, maybe three lineups. I’ll be focusing primarily on 3-2-1 stacks because of these three players. Who else should I target? Well, that’s a very good question Mr. Loyal Fan of Javi. Please see below. These are the ONLY guys in my player pool!
- Chaos – Leaf, Steel, Vanity, Xeppaa
- T1 – b4rtin, Maluk3
- Triumph – Grim, Junior, Spongey, Shakezullah
- Yeah – Dumau, RCF. MAYBE IDK and tatazin
Good luck!
