Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Odds, Betting Picks, and Trends

What a strange season it has been for the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, having gone 4-5 overall so far and getting blown out by the teams you would think (and also Georgia State) but managing to pull one of the more mind-boggling upsets of the season against Liberty. A team that would be best characterized as likely to give up points, the Warhawks have given up by far the most points in their conference with 245 points allowed in conference play.

While we have seen uneven QB play from Chandler Rogers and no pass catcher has more than 2 touchdowns on the entire season, the Warhawks somehow, some way keep finding ways to play competitive football games despite not having a lot of talent to work with.

Louisiana Tech Football Betting Odds

For the 2021-2022 CFB season, expectations were not high for the beleaguered ULM program, but I would say they have managed to exceed those expectations thus far. The offense is not equipped to cover the defensive flaws that this team has, so it comes as no surprise they have struggled when going up against teams that are also able to light up the scoreboard. We’ve seen some examples of this with games against Georgia State, Coastal Carolina and South Alabama, wherein the Warhawks allowed 50-plus points in two of the three and 41 in the third. Still, they were able to flummox then-Heisman hopeful Malik Willis when going up against Liberty, picking him off three times and coming away with one of the more memorable upsets of the season in a 31-28 victory. With Arkansas State remaining on the schedule as well as an LSU program that is entirely in shambles, it wouldn’t be surprising to see another victory or two on which the Warhawks will be able to hang their hats. Warhawks Futures Odds

Louisiana-Monroe is unlikely to have any player win any award of any kind, let alone have a chance to be considered to win the National Championship or have a player in the Heisman Trophy race. With that in mind, there are some other betting markets open from time to time at legal sportsbooks such as futures to win the conference. Check out DraftKings Sportsbook for the latest.

Louisiana-Monroe Props

QB Chandler Rogers hasn’t had the greatest statistical season but has flashed from time to time against lesser defenses, and has one coming up in Arkansas State that gives up points like they are going out of style. He also runs the ball plenty so if you can get a good line on his rushing total, there may be some value there. Lead back Andrew Henry has seen plenty of volume and managed to find the end zone a team-high four times, and would be a good bet for a TD against Arkansas State as well. I wouldn’t look much deeper than these two as they have been the focal points of a balanced offense that hasn’t really produced a prototypical alpha WR. Louisiana-Monroe Betting Picks

Getting Arkansas State on the schedule is a dream come true for any team, and the Warhawks are actually going to be favored by a field goal in this spot. This could be a good place to look as this is as good a matchup as they will see the rest of the season, but if they are able to build some confidence this week you may also want to consider them with what will likely be a large number based on name brand recognition against LSU, which is having all sorts of trouble all over the program. Head on over to DraftKings Sportsbook to see what the opportunities look like this week.

Louisiana-Monroe Football Schedule

Most of the season is already in the books, but there are still three games left before the calendar turns to next season. Saturday, the Warhawks will host Arkansas State as mentioned, then they travel to Baton Rouge to take on LSU Nov. 20 in a nationally televised contest. The conclusion of the ULM Warhawk football season will be on the road against ULL in the Battle of the Bayou, an always fiercely contested game in which ULM will almost certainly be significant underdogs.

So, to recap, the schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday Nov. 13: vs. Arkansas State
  • Saturday Nov. 20: @LSU
  • Saturday Nov. 27: @ULL
