It’s conference championship week in college football, and the playoff picture has taken shape, while bowl game matchups are starting to be announced. There are going to be a ton of opportunities for prop betting, and it will be even more important than usual to shop around for the best odds.
Don’t forget to check out my favorite game bets of the week.
Hajj-Malik Williams (UNLV) Over 60.5 Rushing Yards
(-114, FanDuel Sportsbook)
Williams has been tremendous since taking over as the starting QB back in Week 5. He has put the Rebels in a position to win the MWC championship with his surprising arm strength and elite mobility. He has rushed for 768 yards on 130 attempts and has beaten the 60.5 total in seven of the 10 games he has played in.
In a competitive and thrilling game against Boise State back in Week 9, he rushed for 105 yards on 19 carries. That game ended in a disappointing loss, but his rushing ability still gives them the best chance to win Friday.
Tyrell Robinson (Army) Anytime TD
(+450, DraftKings Sportsbook)
Robinson was the primary quarterback for Army for years before an injury derailed him. He converted to a full-time RB once healthy, which is basically what he already was anyway, since the Black Knights rely so much on the run via the triple-option. He is one of the more dynamic players on the roster and Jeff Monken has made a point to put the ball in his hands in recent weeks.
He caught 3 passes for 46 yards and scored a touchdown in a close win over UTSA last week and has been given at least 3 carries in each of the last three games. The AAC championship is on the line, and there is no point in saving plays at this point, even though Army has their annual bout with Navy next week. I am expecting Robinson to break one that leads to a long touchdown.
