The college football season is wrapping up, and the final non-playoff bowl game is taking place Saturday between the Buffalo Bulls and the Liberty Flames. In this breakdown, we will highlight the top DFS options while also providing any best bets as well. Let’s get into it.

Bahamas Bowl

Buffalo vs. Liberty

Buffalo -4.5, O/U 50.5

The Bulls are favored because they have most of their key players available and are only dealing with some injuries to some secondary options. Quarterback CJ Ogbonna had a strong finish to the season and ended up with 2,244 passing yards along with 314 on the ground and 27 total touchdowns (19 passing/8 rushing).

Top RB Al-Jay Henderson is less than 50 yards away from reaching the 1,000-yard milestone, so it’s a reasonable expectation that he gets plenty of touches early on. Victor Snow (51-610-6) and JJ Jenkins (36-536-4) are the top options at the receiver spots.

Liberty will be less fortunate than Buffalo as QB Kaidon Salter (transferred to Colorado) and RB Quinton Cooley (opt-out) have moved on from the program. Those are the top players in this offense, so it’s a devastating loss for the Flames. Nate Hampton is likely going to play the majority of the snaps at QB while Billy Lucas (663 yards) will get a chance to operate out of the backfield without Cooley for once.

Treon Sibley (26-499-2), Reese Smith (17-241-3), Elijah Canion (25-354-3) and Tyson Mobley (28-272-1) make up a productive group of receivers but we will see just how much they can contribute without Salter under center.

Buffalo has been one of the better MAC teams over the latter half of the season and won their last four games overall. It would be a “feel good” way to end the year with a bowl victory and they should be able to control this matchup throughout.
