Multiple times each week, FTN Bets’ resident college basketball junkie, Brad Evans, will attempt to posterize the ‘books with his favorite selections, whether sides, totals, teasers or parlays. As always, fade or follow Brad’s picks — fading is encouraged — that’s up to you.

2-leg alternative line parlay play: UConn (+4.5), Oklahoma St. (+12.5) (Tipico Sportsbook)

Odds: +129

Leg 1: UConn (+4.5) vs. Creighton

Place your face directly on a white-hot charcoal grill and the burning sensation you'll surely feel is just how hot UConn is. Over the last month, no team has played at the same seismic level. Over that seven-game stretch, the Huskies have earned an entire box of Milkbones tallying 1.221 points per possession while surrendering a mere 0.899 points per possession, both measurements slot inside the top-25 nationally. James Bouknight, who exited yesterday's throttling of DePaul due to cramps, is garnering well-deserved headlines. Dan Hurley's offense flows brilliantly with the facilitator and scorer on the court. However, Adama Sanogo, Isaiah Whaley and Tyrese Martin also deserve accolades. Their ceaseless energy on the offensive glass has generated plentiful second-chance opportunities, which the Huskies have cashed on. Creighton is a dynamite offensive team with excellent floor spacing and a bevy of bucket getters. The 'Jays' defensive efforts, too, are commendable. But swept in the regular season by Creighton, UConn is out for revenge. Based on their spectacular recent execution, they'll likely achieve exactly that.

Leg 2: Oklahoma St. (+12.5) vs. Baylor

For all of us, palates refine and adjust over time. Foods and beverages once thought revolting earlier in life become relished and, in some cases, even loved. Espresso was that drink for yours truly. Back in the day, the thought of one sip was scoffed at. Now, it’s part of the morning routine. Feelings toward Oklahoma St. were similar. Not long ago, the Cowboys, though featuring future NBA stud Cade Cunningham, were a middling seed with marginal upside. However, winners in seven of eight, including a pair of triumphs over West Virginia, they’re this impressionable scribe’s newest obsession. Baylor bounced them by 15 and 11 in the regular season, but the surging ‘Boys should hang the third time around. Their outstanding defensive effort (0.913 pts/poss allowed last 7) combined with persistent second chances gained (34.4 OR%) has it skyrocketing up my Bracket Big Board ranks. To push Baylor, OSU will need to pressure the perimeter and minimize turnovers. Do so, and it could add shine to an already sparkling resume.

Season record: 31-37
