The 2023-24 College Basketball season is winding down, and we are finally at the last regular season Saturday of the season. We have loads of great matchups across the country, and below is my favorite bet of the Saturday slate. Let’s have some fun.

Duke vs. UNC

Duke -5, (DraftKings Sportsbook)

The greatest rivalry in all of college basketball meets at Cameron Indoor today, as UNC travels to play the Blue Devils in a battle atop the ACC for the second time this year. Duke and UNC always creates an exciting atmosphere, and the winner will stand alone in first place in the conference. Both teams have had great ends to the regular season, as Duke has won eight of their last nine, and the Tar Heels are winners of five straight of their own. The Cameron Crazies will be jumping for this rivalry and looking to avenge their early-season loss. I believe Duke has some matchup advantages here that didn’t quite play out in game one.

North Carolina is known for their lethal transition offense and patented secondary break, but Duke is capable of shutting that part of the UNC offense down since they own one of the elite transition defenses in the country and will really force the Tar Heels to execute in the halfcourt. Duke can be susceptible at the rim defensively without a true center, and Armando Bacot dominated in the first game, so I think we see some adjustments here from Coach Scheyer. Where UNC can struggle defensively is in their pick-and-roll defense and defending in space. That’s where the emergence of dynamic point guard Tyrese Proctor and freshman Jared McCain has really ascended the Blue Devil offense supplemented by veteran backcourt mate Jeremy Roach. Duke will be rocking for this one, and I I favor the adjustments Scheyer can make over Hubert Davis, even laying the points

The Pick
