It’s a mad dash to the finish line in college basketball, as teams race to get the best seeding for their conference tournaments. I’m still trying to fade squads that are pretty much checked out on the season though because there’s some value in that. It’s an interesting slate Wednesday, so let’s try to find some winners.

All odds are per DraftKings Sportsbook.

Florida Gulf Coast at North Florida

7 p.m. ET
UNF -3.5

The Ospreys are a recent revelation for me, as I’ve been hitting their team total overs lately with great success. UNF is shooting 58.3% from two-point land and 37.8% from three in A-Sun play. They’ve scored 75 or more in 10 of their 14 conference games. The opponent Wednesday is Florida Gulf Coast, who lost 78-58 to UNF Jan. 6 at home. The Eagles play with a very slow pace, but they’ve struggled with defense on the road giving up 78 at Queens and Kennesaw State as well as 90 at Eastern Kentucky. I think the home team can approach that Wednesday.

The Pick

North Florida over 73.5 points (-115)

DePaul at Xavier

7 p.m. ET
Xavier -19.5

DePaul is one of those teams I’m fading down the stretch, especially on the road. They are one of the worst defenses in the country, allowing over 100 points in two games over the last two weeks. Xavier has lost four in a row, so they’ll want to get out a lot of frustrations in this game. They beat DePaul at their place 93-68 Feb. 3 in a 74-possession game. The Musketeers put up 92 at home on Georgetown, so it’s not like they aren’t capable of going over this.

The Pick

Xavier over 87.5 points (-120)

Eastern Kentucky at Austin Peay

8 p.m. ET
EKU -2

Eastern Kentucky is playing for an outright championship in the Atlantic Sun as they travel to Austin Peay. The Governors are one of the slowest teams in the country, but they have played a ton of high-scoring contests. At home, they’ve played games with scores of 83-80, 94-71, 95-91, 85-69, 79-76 and 90-85. The reason why is that their defense is rather porous especially since they aren’t playing a ton of players. EKU plays with some pace and shoots the three really well. I expect plenty of scoring in this one.

The Pick

Over 147.5
