Today’s four-game set includes tasty matchups overall, and I feel confident that we can build a winning lineup from the highlighted group of players. Let’s jump right in and see what today brings.

Connecticut Sun Players

The brand-favorite “CONN STACKZZZ” is fully in play today as they face off against a Chicago Sky team that bleeds fantasy points to their opponents at multiple positions. The top overall play, and coincidentally the most expensive, is Alyssa Thomas. The point-forward has been incredible this season and is somehow still slept on by talking heads who prefer to talk about A’ja Wilson or Breanna Stewart. AT has five triple-doubles this season and is almost averaging one with 15.2 PPG/10.1 RPG/8.1 APG. She is sporting a 21.6% usage rate, a combined rebounding rate above 25% and an assist rate pushing 40%. On top of that, she is averaging 1.23 FPPM for the full season. She is a priority play as usual. DeWanna Bonner has averaged 37.8 FPPG, 7 RPG and 23.5 PPG against the Chicago Sky this season. She is an underrated rebounder, and that ability was on full display against the mammoth frontcourt of the Dallas Wings when she pulled down 12 boards last game. Tiffany Hayes has scored 27+ fantasy points in three of her last four games and can be considered main-team viable at $8.1k. Rebecca Allen, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Dijonai Carrington and Tyasha Harris can also be considered as GPP options.

Napheesa Collier, Minnesota Lynx ($11.1k)

Collier is coming off a 46.5 FPS master class against the Seattle Storm on Friday, and there is no reason to think she won’t be pushing 50+ today at home. She has averages of 29.3 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 3.3 APG and a whopping 53.7 FPPG in three games against Seattle this year. Needless to say, Collier is a lock button play, and you’ll want to make it a priority to get her into your lineup with Alyssa Thomas as well.

Phoenix Mercury Players

Brittney Griner will miss another game due to illness, while fellow frontcourt player Megan Gustafson has been marked available after missing their battle with the New York Liberty. Shey Peddy will also be out due to a concussion. This leaves a plethora of minutes and usage available to the remaining Mercury players. Even though the Indiana Fever have dramatically improved this season, they can still be considered an advantageous team to target for fantasy purposes. Michaela Onyenwere stands out as a relatively solid value option at $5.4k. She played 26 minutes against the Liberty and attempted 10 shots while scoring an adequate 18.5 fantasy points. If you’re looking for a total punt in order to fit the big guns up top, we can look at Ashley Joens, Liz Dixon and Kadi Sissoko. Joens is currently on a hardship contract, while Dixon and Sissoko both played double-digit minutes in their last game. None of them carry much upside, but the salary-savings make them viable nonetheless. This goes without saying, but I want to make it clear anyway, do not play any of those three values in the same lineup. Sophie Cunningham, Moriah Jefferson and Brianna Turner are also in the mix, while Diana Taurasi is a touch priced out for me.

Sami Whitcomb, Seattle ($8k)

The Storm are in full rebuild mode after decades of dominance. Jewell Loyd is fantastic, but paying almost $11k for her just isn’t in the cards for me with Thomas and Collier on the slate. This leaves us with the always active three-point chucking Sami Whitcomb. She is a reasonable $8k on DK and has scored under 20 FPS just once in the past nine games. Sami has a reputation of being a gunner but has shown off some serious passing ability lately, averaging five assists per game in her past five games.
