We had another successful college football DFS day last weekend and head into Week 10 with a lot of confidence right now. Week 10 brings with it MACtion! This means for the rest of the season we will have CFB slates basically every single day except for Sunday and Monday. Things kick off this week with a three-game MAC slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

In this breakdown, I will be highlighting the top 2-3 plays at each position as well as giving you a three-man core for each site to use for your main build. In addition to this I will list my favorite PrizePicks plays of the day. Last week we smashed all three of our main slate plays, so let’s keep it going!

Make sure you’re in the CFB DFS Discord prior to lock so you don’t miss any important news such as depth chart changes or late scratches. The House of 4 RBs is ready for another big week, so let’s dive in.

Team Odds Team Odds Total
Ball State -1375 (-20.5) Akron +800 58.5
Miami OH -305 (-7) Ohio +240 53.5
EMU +270 Toledo -350 (-7) 53.5

Quarterbacks

Dequan Finn, Toledo

($7.8k DK/$10.5k FD)

Finn has seized the starting QB job for Toledo after six weeks of ineffectiveness from Carter Bradley. Finn had been playing throughout the season and taking advantage of that playing time by showing his elite ability to run the football. Since taking over as the full-time starter two weeks ago, he has accounted for 4 TDs (2 passing/2 rushing), 346 passing yards and 70 rushing yards. He is an electric dual threat QB that is tailor-made for the MAC conference. Despite acting as the primary backup most of the season he has thrown for over 700 yards and rushed for over 300. Lock him into your lineup and enjoy the show.

Drew Plitt, Ball State

($7.1k DK/$11k FD)

Plitt has the best matchup of the slate going up against the defensively challenged Akron Zips. Plitt hasn’t had the type of season most of us expected, but he has still been one of the better signal callers in the conference. He has thrown for 11 TDs to just 4 picks while throwing for almost 1,600 yards. He is a solid single-entry or cash game option for Tuesday, but I think he is far from necessary on DK if you want to get exotic with your build.

Additional GPP/MME Targets

DJ Irons, Akron — $5k for a QB isn’t bad, and Irons flashed major upside back in Week 3 when he lit up Bryant for over 400 yards of total offense and nearly 50 DK points.

Brett Gabbert, Miami (OH) — Back from injury after missing a couple of weeks. Led his team to an impressive 24-17 victory over a tough Ball State team. He threw for 207 and 2 TDs, which is right about his floor for this game.

Ohio QBs — The team uses Kurtis Rourke and Armani Rogers, which makes it tough to use one for your main build, but both possess slate-breaking upside in this matchup regardless. Together they act as one dual-threat QB with Rogers being an insane runner while Rourke has the better arm. The price on both is more than reasonable for your GPP builds.

Running Backs

Bryant Koback, Toledo

($7.9k DK/$11.5k FD)

Koback has been terrorizing MAC defenses for years and has had another productive season this year through eight games. He has rushed for 650 yards and 6 TDs while also being involved in the passing game with a stat line of 18-216-1. He hasn’t been toting the rock 20-plus times like expected, but his involvement in the passing game has made up for it. The EMU defense has been a bend-but-not-break unit, giving up under 400 yards of total offense per game. However, they have been gashed for 180 yards per game on the ground, so Koback is firmly in play as the top RB on the slate.

Carson Steele, Ball State

($6k DK/$9k FD)

Will Jones gets carries for the Cardinals as well, but Steele is still the primary option in the offense especially when Ball State has the lead or the game is close. Steels gets a favorable matchup against the Zips who are giving up 217.5 yards per game. Steele is your main team play with Jones getting heavy GPP consideration.

Additional GPP/MME Targets

Ohio RBs — O’Shaan Allison is your preferred target here because of his sub-$5k price tag on DK, but he is in a timeshare with De’Montre Tuggle. The rushing matchup actually isn’t that great for the Bobcats, but the workload will be there.

Miami OH RBs — On the other side of this game the RedHawks RBs are in a fantastic matchup against the rush defense of Ohio. Tyre Shelton is an intriguing play and had 14 carries in their last contest. Keyon Mozee has the best TD equity of the three headed monster while Kevin Davis is more involved in the passing game. They’re all cheap for a reason though as the touches will be shared in a similar fashion to the Navy backfield. Jaylon Bester was hyped as their best overall back, but he is stuck in the committee as well.

Darius Boone Jr., EMU — 83 carries for 308 yards and 6 TDs on the season. Samson Evans is in the mix as well with 38 carries for 133 yards and 7 TDs. Evans is a TD vulture, but Boone is the better play based on overall volume.

Wide Receivers

Konata Mumpfield, Akron

($7.2k DK/$7k FD)

Mumpfield has emerged as the top wideout in this offense and has been improving seemingly each week. The sites have done a nice job of pricing up the receivers so some tough decisions will have to be made, but he is my favorite of the slate Tuesday. He has 41 catches on 62 targets for 495 yards and 6 TDs. He has broken 100 receiving yards in two of his last three games and should see heavy volume Tuesday in a positive gamescript.

Jack Sorenson, Miami OH

($8.4k DK/$8.7k FD)

Sorenson leads the RedHawks in targets with 60 and has a stat line of 41-673-5. He is the alpha in this offense, but you can also look at his much cheaper teammate Mac Hippenhammer (what a name) who has 55 targets on the season and with a stat line of 29-497-1.

Additional GPP/MME Targets

Ball State WRs — Justin Hall (63 targets, 48-499-4) is your premium play here while Yo’Heinz Tyler (54 targets, 29-313-4) and Jayshon Jackson (56 targets, 38-480-2) are both heavily involved as well. The target share is extremely concentrated amongst those three and you definitely want exposure. The field will be all in on Hall but the steep discount on his teammates is appealing.

Devin Maddox, Toledo — The Rockets are a run-heavy team, but when they do throw the ball, Maddox is the No. 1 target.

Hassan Beydoun, EMU — It’s a tough matchup for Beydoun, but he comes in underpriced for his production. He has caught 51 of his 63 targets for 519 yards and a score. His teammate Dylan Drummond can also be considered for GPP, but his price is not as advantageous. Drummond has 41 catches for 513 yards and 4 TDs on 61 targets.

Isiah Cox, Ohio — 7 catches for 73 yards last game. Cox was a $6-7k receiver at times last year but has dealt with discipline issues at different times this year. Cox could be a sneaky play at his price with most people looking to pay up.
