Minnesota Twins O 4.5 Runs Scored

We’re picking on Colorado Rockies pitcher Dakota Hudson, as he’s set to take the ball against the Minnesota Twins. Hudson enters with a 5.11 K/9, 4.82 B/9 and 5.25 ERA over 61.2 innings. Over his 12 starts, Hudson has coughed up 61 hits, 36 earned runs and seven homers. He keeps the ball on the ground 54% of the time, but he has an alarming 82.8% contact rate, which ranks inside the top five of all pitchers. The Twins have a high strikeout rate, but Hudson is walking nearly more hitters than he’s striking out and only has a 7.2 SwStr%.

Minnesota is inside the top 10 in runs, home runs, RBI and ISO against right-handed pitchers. Carlos Correa leads the way with a .286 average against RHP and should hit in the two-spot. Correa has 14 extra-base hits, including nine doubles against righties. He has three multi-hit games in his last four games and has driven in six RBI over his past five games. Royce Lewis has hits in four of his five games since returning to the lineup, including two homers. Fourteen of his 15 homers last season came against RHP.

Left-handed hitters have five homers and are slashing .286/.396/.455 with a .377 wOBA against Hudson. Max Kepler has been hitting in the cleanup spot against RHP this season, so consider him in your MLB DFS lineups.
