Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Reds. Langford has looked good to begin the season, batting .304 with two homers through the first six games. A huge breakout could be on tap for the youngster, who slashed a respectable .253/.325/.415 with 16 home runs and 19 stolen bases in his rookie year. Drafted less than two years ago, Langford has the upside to become one of the sport's top superstars and could be a first-round pick in 2026 fantasy drafts.

The 23-year-old will take it slow and start off by serving as the DH, but he'll now have three weeks to get up to full speed before Opening Day later this month on March 27 against the Boston Red Sox. The former fourth overall pick last year out of the University of Florida slashed .253/.325/.415 with a .740 OPS, 16 home runs, 74 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 74 runs scored in 134 games in his MLB debut in 2024 and is one of the best young outfield power/speed threats in the game. In what should be a better Rangers lineup in 2025, Langford is a top-20 fantasy outfielder.

Meanwhile, fellow outfielder Adolis Garcia, who is also dealing with an oblique strain, should also be ready for Opening Day. Langford should be considered a top-20 fantasy outfielder because of his power/speed upside heading into just his second MLB season. The former fourth overall pick hit .253/.325/.415 with 16 homers, 74 RBI and 19 steals in his first 139 big-league games in 2024.
