New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos will get the day off on Saturday when they continue a series against the Colorado Rockies. Vientos has started in each of the past three contests. During this stretch, Vientos went 2-for-11 with a home run and seven strikeouts. During Friday's contest against the Rockies, Vientos went 0-for-3 with three punchouts. This will open up the hot corner for Brett Baty, who is slated to bat in the five-hole. Through 51 games this season, the 25-year-old has had an inconsistent start to the season, holding a .231/.300/.379 line with six home runs. Under the hood, Vientos has generated a low .298 xwOBA, .231 xBA, and a .377 xSLG, which are all well below the average marks. The Mets should be viewed as a top stack in DFS facing Colorado right-hander Antonio Senzatela, who holds a high 6.50 ERA.

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos will retreat to the bench for Monday's series opener against the visiting Chicago White Sox at Citi Field. Brett Baty is starting at third base and is batting sixth versus White Sox right-hander Adrian Houser. Vientos didn't play on Friday or Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to abdominal soreness, but he returned on Sunday to go 1-for-3 with a strikeout in the 3-1 win. The 25-year-old second-round pick in 2017 hasn't been nearly as good this year as he was during a 2024 breakout in which he hit .266/.322/.516 with career-highs in home runs (27) and RBI (71) in 111 games. Vientos only has five homers and 18 RBI through 48 games in 2025 but has hit .269 (18-for-67) with a homer and three RBI in his 20 games in May. Baty will be a DFS sleeper at third in a matchup against Houser, who he has a solo homer against in two career at-bats.

New York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos (abdomen) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Vientos is back in the mix after missing the first two games of the series due to abdominal soreness. Luckily, it wasn't a serious injury as Vientos is back at third base and batting second versus right-hander Landon Knack on Sunday. Vientos has slowed down with the bat this month, but his upside is still enough to warrant rostering him in most fantasy formats.
