New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger is getting a rest day in Friday's series opener at Coors Field against the hosting Colorado Rockies. Bellinger lost his 15-game hitting streak with an 0-for-4 performance at the plate in Thursday's 1-0 win over the Texas Rangers in the Bronx, and he'll now get a day of rest in the first game this weekend in Denver. Jasson Dominguez will start in left field and bat fifth, while Ben Rice is the designated hitter and is batting third against Rockies right-hander Tanner Gordon. Fantasy managers will want to get Bellinger back in their starting lineups when he returns to action on Saturday against lefty Kyle Freeland, who he has hit .344 against with a homer and five RBI in 32 career at-bats. At hitter-friendly Coors Field against the worst team in baseball, both Dominguez and Rice will be popular DFS plays on Friday night.

New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger had a monster game at the plate on Sunday, going 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, two walks, and six RBI in an 8-2 win over the New York Mets. Bellinger's home run was a grand slam in the eighth inning that effectively ended this one. The 29-year-old has been excellent in May, going 20-for-57 with four homers and 12 RBI in the month so far. The hot stretch has brought his overall line to a .258 AVG, 25 runs, seven homers, 28 RBI, and four steals. He has been productive and should remain that way in a strong Yankees lineup. Bellinger should be an automatic start for fantasy managers.

New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger went 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Rays. It has been a disappointing season so far for the left-handed slugger who was supposed to be able to take advantage of Yankee Stadium's "short porch" in right field, now with four home runs on the season and pacing for no more than the 18 home runs he hit last season in Chicago. The 18 RBI and 15 runs scored that the former MVP has tallied to this point are fine, but would be higher if he could hit for better than a .200 average in the middle of the Yankee lineup. His current contact rate stands at 77.6, the lowest since 2022, but he's chasing less and walking more, while his barrel and hard-hit rates are above where they've been in a long time, which is at least a sign that maybe he can still turn things around.
