Tonight we will head to a chilly Coors Field where the Texas Rangers take on the Colorado Rockies. Temperatures for first pitch in Denver will be about 58 degrees, making things tough for offenses even in a hitter’s ballpark. Tonight will be the Rangers’ first trip to Coors since August 2022.

We have a “homecoming” that I love here. Jon Gray will be take the mound for the first time at Coors wearing an opposing uniform. Gray has been great to start the year and enters with a 1-1 record and a 2.50 ERA. In his three road starts, Gray has posted a 1.84 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and held opponents to a .189 AVG against. 

The Rockies have been the worst team in baseball to begin the year. They are the only team yet to win 10 games this season and have lost eight of their last 10. Tonight we’ll target their poor numbers against right-handed pitching.
