BREAKING NEWS: Corey Linsley expected to sign with Chargers

Center Corey Linsley is expected to sign with Los Angeles Chargers Monday, per NFL Network Tom Pelissero. 

UPDATE: Linsley agreed to a five-year, $62.5 million deal, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo.

Analysis: After seven years of keeping Aaron Rodgers upright, Linsley heads to Los Angeles to buy time for Justin Herbert, whose rookie season was impressive from a high-level view but even more so after considering the duress he was under every dropback. Herbert faced the sixth-highest pressure rate (28.8%) and endured the ninth most sacks (32). Linsley will help in reducing both of those numbers in Joe Lombardi’s offense.
