There are four teams within one game of each other atop the MEAC standings, and that includes Howard, who hosts South Carolina State tonight. The Bison are led by Bryce Harris and Seth Towns. The latter is on his third team during a long college basketball career. This is the best offense in the conference, shooting 54% from two-point range and 37.4% from three. They are playing with a solid pace and coming off a 90-82 win over NC Central, who is tied for first in the MEAC. These two teams played back on Jan. 8, and Howard won 82-78 at South Carolina State. The Bulldogs are coming off an overtime road loss to Norfolk State just 48 hours ago and have a bad enough defense that they could struggle to stop the home team here. Howard put up 100, 82 and 91 in three games against this team last year.
