It’s the first Monday of February, which means we are getting closer to college basketball conference tournaments and all the fun of March Madness. It’s amazing to see some of the teams on the bubble as of now so every win counts and every loss could be the difference between the big tourney and the NIT. The Monday card is for the smaller conferences, so I’ve got one selection to try and start the week off right.

All odds are per DraftKings Sportsbook.

Morgan State @ NC Central

7:30 p.m. ET
NC Central -8

LeVelle Moton has his Eagles in a good spot right now, starting out MEAC play 5-1 as they host Morgan State Monday. They have one of the better defenses in the conference and are No. 2 in America holding teams to 27.2% from long range. Only one team has scored over 70 points in their gym, USC Upstate back on Dec. 2. Morgan State’s offense is solid in conference play, but they have a turnover issue and are not good at offensive rebounding. Last year, this team lost 83-63 at NC Central. ECU transfer Wynston Tabbs didn’t play last game due to injury. If he is out once again, then I like the team total under for the road team. If he’s announced in, then this is a no play in my book.

The Play

Morgan State under 70.5 pots (-115), if Tabbs is announced out for Morgan State
