The college basketball season keeps rolling along, and we’re starting to hit the bracketology portion of the year. Although we’ve been thinking about it since the season tipped off, these teams are now starting to focus on the bubble and what they may need to do to get into the field come March.
Monday’s card has an interesting array of games, so let’s see if we can build off last Wednesday’s winners.
McNeese State at Texas A&M Corpus Christi
7 p.m. ET
McNeese State -4.5
For those late to the party, McNeese State is really good and has wins at VCU, UAB and Michigan already this season. Will Wade missed the beginning of the year, and now that he’s back, the team keeps on winning. They do so with an offense that doesn’t turn it over and a defense that is pretty solid inside. The Cowboys are on the road, but they’ve already scored 76 at the aforementioned Rams, 87 at Michigan and 81 at UAB. Corpus Christi is having a decent season themselves, checking in at 11-7. Their offensive numbers are rather ugly, and on defense they have a massive issue fouling and sending their opponent to the line. This plays nicely for the Cowboys, who are 33rd in offensive FTA/FGA. I think this one sees some points from the favorite, so give me their team total over.
