Houston Astros at New York Yankees

The Astros have a 3-0 lead in the ALCS, and I expect them to close out this series tonight at Yankee Stadium. Houston has looked like the more dominant team in all facets of the sport in the first three games, and I think they will beat the Yankees tonight and put them out of their misery.
I have been preaching that the Yankees will lose due to their inability to execute on the fundamentals. Seeing them drop a fly ball in the outfield which led to an Astros home run was the icing on the cake. It seems impossible for the Yankees to get back into the series, especially when they are an error waiting to happen.
Lance McCullers Jr. will make his second start of the postseason tonight on the road against the Yankees. In his first start against the Mariners, McCullers allowed just two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings of work. The Astros have won four of his last five starts dating back to the regular season.
Nestor Cortes will take the mound for the Yankees tonight at home in a do-or-die game. Cortes pitched twice against the Guardians in the ALDS and had one good outing and one so-so outing. Nestor has been a much better pitcher at home this season, so if he can keep that up, the Yankees may live to see another day.
With that being said, I think the Yankees are deflated. Of course, they’re not as good of a team, but they make excuses, they have poor body language and they seem like a team that has given up. Maybe they will steal a win tonight, but I doubt it. The Astros are too fundamentally sound and well-coached that they should finish off the sweep on the road.
