Pablo López OVER 4.5 strikeouts vs. San Francisco (-130, BetMGM)

Some things simply don’t make sense, like an eye-high window in the shower or whatever political hot takes spew from Brett Favre’s mouth. Sports betting, too, often operates in the bewilderment business. Take, for example, López's proposed strikeout total. Yes, sample sizes are still infinitesimal, but the evidence leads to only one certifiable conclusion. Through 21.2 innings, the 25-year-old righty has spun the seams with considerable vim and vigor. He’s notched a 10.38 K/9, while exceeding 4.5 Ks in three of four turns, including a 9-strikeout effort against the Giants April 18. Equipped with a plus mid-90s fastball, above-average change and knee-buckling curve, he is quickly becoming Miami’s top-of-the-rotation star. Given his recent success and San Francisco’s 24.9 K%, the 12th-highest in MLB, he’s an outstanding wager.
