First TD Bets — Wild Card Monday Slate

It’s big Tuesday, and that means we have a ton of college basketball games to grind through for DFS. The focus of this article will be the nine-game main slate on DraftKings but there will be projections for the night set of games as well, which I will post later in the evening.

Villanova vs. Xavier
Xavier -3, O/U 147.5
Believe it or not, Villanova has been able to churn out an 11-6 record after a horrible start to the season and are currently 4-2 in conference play. Eric Dixon has been unreal as a scorer averaging over 25 PPG, but he isn’t a one-man show by any means. It took Wooga Poplar some time to get acclimated to his new team after transferring from Miami, but he has proven to be a key cog to this program. He has eclipsed 26 fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games.
Nova is shooting 41.2% from beyond the 3-point arc as a team, with Dixon (47%), Poplar (39%) and Jhamir Brickus (51%) being especially dangerous. This is a winnable game for the Wildcats, and coach Kyle Neptune has a chance to cool his seat a little bit more if they can pull it off.
Zach Freemantle has dealt with numerous injuries over the last couple of years, but he is back now and looking better than ever. Oddly enough, he didn’t start the last game, which caused some alarm, but he did play 32 minutes off the bench, so it was an interesting move by coach Sean Miller. Unless we get some sort of news that Freemantle is out or limited, we can roll him out there regardless of his starting status. Since his return, it’s diminished the viability of his teammates a lot when it comes to fantasy purposes. Dailyn Swain is somewhat interesting at $5.9k but his production has been all over the place making him a very risky play for SE.
