We are getting set for a huge Tuesday NHL slate with 10 games and a first puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. I’ve analyzed the entire slate, and this article will go through my favorite NHL bets throughout the night.

But remember, with our FTN betting package, you’ll get picks from everyone at FTN, plus tools, projections and access to Discord, where I’ll discuss every slate.

Today’s Best NHL Bets

Los Angeles Kings ML

(-130, Bet365/DraftKings Sportsbook/FanDuel Sportsbook/BetMGM)

The Kings have been on a roll and have won five consecutive games, including two very convincing wins against two of the Western Conference’s best teams in the Stars and Wild. They’ve been able to do so while allowing less than two goals against in each of those last five games. The offense has also been making some huge strides with Trevor Lewis and Andre Lee out of the picture, and a quick blast of the line blender has led to three very good lines. On the other hand, the Islanders are very thin up front. The loss of Mathew Barzal has really hindered their ability to find their offensive identify the way the Kings have been able to. At this point, their win condition is solely through Ilya Sorokin’s goaltending, and with Sorokin’s overall inconsistencies, I find it hard to see that happening with consistency.

St. Louis Blues ML

(+150, Bet365/DraftKings Sportsbook/Caesars/BetRivers)

The Blues are 4-1-1 under head coach Jim Montgomery, and that isn’t a coincidence. The Blues have been competitive in every game with Montgomery behind the bench, and it’s not really a surprise since Montgomery has a good history of getting the most out of his players. The matchup against the Canucks isn’t going to be a cakewalk, and the Blues are rightfully underdogs, but I have this game being a much tighter matchup than the oddsmakers currently have it at. Don’t be surprised if the Canucks struggle to get off to a fast start. They are one of the oddball teams out there who have clearly been worse at home compared to on the road where they’ve only lost twice in regulation — a feat that no other team in the NHL can claim.

Tampa Bay Lightning ML

(+126, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Nikita Kucherov is back in the lineup, and he made his grand return Sunday against the Canucks when he put together a three-point outing where he also scored a big goal to get the Lightning back in the game. This game has the Lightning as bigger underdogs than you’d probably expect and that’s likely due to the uncertainty of Anthony Cirelli’s status after he was knocked out of the Vancouver game. Regardless of Cirelli’s status, the Lightning are in a pretty good place when it comes to depth with both Brayden Point and Nick Paul back in the lineup. I can probably argue that Vancouver being without their minutes eater in Filip Hronek is a more significant loss. Hronek’s injury has shifted things at the blue line to the point both Noah Juulsen and Carson Soucy are getting significant minutes. Soucy is usually solid but isn’t exactly used to seeing 20-plus minutes a game while Juulsen has been a huge disappointment for most of his career.
