We’re back at it with a big 10-game NHL slate Tuesday that has the first puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Of those 10 games, there’s definitely one that cannot be missed, and that’s the Johnny Gaudreau memorial game between the Blue Jackets and Flames scheduled for 9 p.m. I’ve gone through the entire slate and this article will offer up my favorite NHL bets throughout the night.

But remember, with our FTN betting package, you’ll get picks from everyone at FTN, plus tools, projections and access to Discord, where I’ll discuss every slate.

Today’s Best NHL Bets

San Jose Sharks ML

(+240, DraftKings Sportsbook/BetMGM/Caesars, 1 unit)

San Jose Sharks +1.5

(-104, FanDuel Sportsbook, 2.08 units to win 2 units)

The oddsmakers continue to be very bearish on the San Jose Sharks. This Sharks team is not the same Sharks team we’ve been used to as a basement dweller the last 4-5 years and look to be competitive every single night. The Sharks have either won or kept games competitive with a one-goal loss in five of their last six games. A big reason for that is the emergence of their #1 overall draft pick, Macklin Celebrini, who was just named the NHL’s first star of the week. Don’t get me wrong, the Capitals are legit, but the Sharks are a team that tends to be overlooked, and we are going to attack this.

Aaron Ekblad Over 0.5 Points

(+110, DraftKings Sportsbook/BetMGM)

Ekblad gets a huge boost from taking over the QB position on Florida’s top power-play unit, but he has been contributing heavily offensively in all phases of the game. He has six points over his last six games and his Panthers get a soft matchup against a Penguins team that’s still choosing to put Tristan Jarry in net every other game. Jarry’s -4.62 GSAA is the 65th best in the NHL (15th worst). The Panthers offense is arguably the hottest in the league right now, and who would deny it given they’ve scored 17 goals over their last three games.

Seattle Kraken ML

(+245, Bet365)

As you have probably noticed by now, I don’t mind taking big underdogs. If my model indicates that a line shouldn’t be so lopsided, I am going to get exposure to the underdog. The Hurricanes have been outstanding this season, but the Kraken are a much better team than their struggles have indicated. Things would be much different if they decided to play Joey Daccord as their Bo. 1 goaltender right from the get go. His 5.76 GSAA is the 11th best in the NHL while Philipp Grubauer has put up a -7.8 GSAA, 73rd best (or seventh worst) in the NHL. The Kraken are also getting healthier at the blue line, and finally have their top d-man Vince Dunn back in the lineup.
