Thanksgiving is, without a doubt, the best holiday of the year. You get football and food, and no one can tell you to stop.
Some of my advice in this article is fairly evergreen and how I approach two- to four-game slates in general. Out of my five million-dollar wins, two of them have been in the playoffs, so I love these small slates with big prize pools. Here’s my DFS look at the Thanksgiving slate.
Consider Mega Stacking
With just three games, it’s entirely possible one greatly overshoots the others in terms of fantasy efficient scoring. It’s perfectly fine to pair three pass catchers with a quarterback and then two or even three bring backs. Hope that game goes off and the others bust. It’s near impossible to mega stack the Cowboys-Giants game, but you could definitely do a QB with two pass catchers and then two bring backs in the other games.
Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants
It’s tough for me to get off this guy. He’s the top-tier playmaker with what looks like the least rostership. He has an upgrade at quarterback. I’m going to have him in the majority of my lineups.
Jared Goff–Jameson Williams Stacks
With a smaller slate, it’s more possible for a quarterback to separate from the rest. If a quarterback is going to have 10-plus more points than the others, my guess is it will be Jordan Love, Jared Goff or possible Tua Tagovailoa If the fairly low-rostered Goff is going to separate, I bet it’s because he threw a deep bomb touchdown to Jameson Williams Hence, I love Goff-Williams stacks as a very high upside, contrarian stack.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB, New York Giants
I love this guy and will continue to roster him, especially when he’s under $6,500 on DraftKings. He’s their clear bell cow running back, and he’s one of their two solid playmakers, besides Nabers. He managed 10 points last week, which was an absolute floor game considering the Giants had only one touchdown. With an upgrade at quarterback against a generally mediocre defense, I like Tracy’s chances at being one of the top running backs on the slate.
