The Best NHL Bets

New York Rangers ML

(-115, DraftKings Sportsbook/FanDuel Sportsbook/Bet365, 2.3u to win 2u)

The Rangers have generally taken care of business against teams they should be beating. They’ve gotten outstanding goaltending from both Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick, to the point where they’ve only allowed 38 goals while seeing a xGA of 54.56 goals. They’ve also been stellar away from Madison Square Garden, where they’ve put together an outstanding record of 6-1-0. They’re facing a Vancouver team that has really overachieved with a 9-5-3 record when the team itself has a -1 goal differential. The Rangers are getting major contributions from their bottom-six and have a big advantage over the Canucks in terms of depth as well as goaltending. -115 is an absolute bargain tonight for the Blueshirts and I’m going to roll with them for 2.3u.

Kyle Palmieri Over 0.5 Assists

(+165, DraftKings Sportsbook)

When Mathew Barzal was placed on LTIR, it gave an opportunity for others on the Islanders roster to shine. Kyle Palmieri in particular has taken on a bigger role offensively as a facilitator, and his line with Brock Nelson and Maxim Tsyplakov has thrived now that Tsyplakov has gotten more and more comfortable in his adjustment to the NHL game. Palmieri has assists in six of his last seven games, which also happen to be the seven games that Barzal has been out due to injury. Palmieri’s price tag hasn’t really adjusted to where it really should be and is an outstanding value that I am not going to pass up.

Matt Coronato Over 0.5 Points

(+110, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Second-year forward Matt Coronato has played himself into a very favorable role in the Flames lineup. He has moved into the top six as a winger on the line with the most reliable duo on the team — Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman, and he was pushed up to the top power-play unit. We are still getting plus money on Coronato just getting a point. Additionally, and this is something that isn’t mentioned very much, but one thing that I love to do is play teams against Patrick Roy-coached teams. He is arguably the most aggressive coach in hockey and has been willing to pull his goalie with more than 10 minutes left in the game.
