The PGA Tour is heading to a coastal course in Bermuda this week where it’s hard to ignore the weather. Let’s take a quick look at the forecast to begin.
This is the condensed view to fit all four days into one screenshot, but one thing is clear: Windy conditions will be present, early and often. Based on the forecast, there isn’t one clear wave advantage unlike what we saw a few weeks ago. So when that’s the case, and I’m building a single-entry DFS lineup, I don’t focus on wave but I do take a look at past performance in the wind. We shouldn’t treat this wind stat as gospel, but it does usually steer us directionally in the right direction as to whether a golfer can handle windy conditions or not.
Another aspect of windy weeks is the amount of variance. It ramps things up a little bit, because if wind arrives at different intensities for different waves, then suddenly our baseline expectations get all shifted. When building MME portfolios, it’s certainly a good idea to stack some different tee-time windows just in case. With that being said let’s hop right in to talk about my favorite DFS targets.
