The NBA is back, with a Tuesday night doubleheader to tip off the 2024-2025 season.

Below, I’ll break down a few props that stand out early on. I’ll always drop plays in the FTN Bets page, after sending them out in the subscribers-only Discord. All of our expert plays can be found on the FTN Bet Tracker, with a full breakdown of each side, total and prop, along with the best line available at the time of posting.

NBA Best Bets

Derrick White Over 1.5 Steals + Blocks

(-135, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Derrick White has been one of the best defensive guards in the league since becoming a full-time starter, selected to the first or second All-Defensive Team in back-to-back seasons. In 2023-2024, White set season-highs in blocks (87) and steals (74), averaging 2.2 stocks per game, finishing third among all guards in contested shots (480) in the regular season. His suffocating defense was critical to Boston’s title run, recording two-plus steals and blocks in eight out of the last 10 games in the playoffs (80%) in the playoffs, averaging three stocks during that span. He’s also cleared his 1.5 steals + blocks line in seven out of the last eight games (87.5%) against the Knicks, with a 100% hit rate in each of the last six meetings.

Anthony Edwards Over 4.5 Rebounds

(-145, Caesars)

Anthony Edwards is one of the better-rebounding guards in the league, averaging 5.4 boards on 9.1 chances last year in the regular season. In the playoffs, Ant-Man took his game to another level, recording 5-plus rebounds in six consecutive games, grabbing 8-plus boards five times during that stretch, averaging 8.7 rebounds per game.

Cade Cunningham Over 1.5 Threes

(-130, ESPNBet)

Cade Cunningham had a career-best 35.5% three-point percentage last season, getting red hot behind the arch to close out the year, hitting two-plus treys in 13 out of the last 18 games (72.2%), averaging 2.44 threes on 6.17 attempts with a 39.64% three-point percentage during that span. It’s also worth noting that Cunningham had his minutes scaled back dealing with a knee injury, clearing his 1.5 three-point prop in 11 out of the last 13 games logging 30-plus minutes (84.62%), averaging 2.85 threes within that stretch.

Terry Rozier Over 3.5 Assists

(-135, Caesars)

Terry Rozier had 4-plus assists in 74% of his games last season, averaging 4.6 dimes per game. Although that does include his time with Charlotte, Scary Terry cleared his 3.5 assists prop in six out of the last seven games (85.7%) to close out the season with Tyler Herro active, averaging five assists during that span. He also hit this line in all four games against Orlando since being traded, averaging 7 dimes per game, with 6-plus assists in every game.
