Prime-Time Props — Monday Night Football, Week 6

Share

New York is set to once again host prime time Monday, featuring an AFC East battle with first place in the division on the line. Both the Bills and the Jets are trending in the wrong direction, coming off back-to-back losses and needing to get right sooner rather than later.

Thanks to a 3-0 start, Buffalo still holds a one-game lead in the division, eyeing their fifth consecutive AFC East title. They’ll have to fend off the Jets who have a chance to overtake the top seed with a win, looking to make a statement under new interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. The Jets will also have a new offensive coordinator, with Todd Downing set to make his debut as the play-caller.

The 1.5 spread calls for a tightly contested matchup, without a lot of scoring, currently projected at a 40.5 game total. Let’s take a look at my favorite same-game parlay from this game.

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets

(Bills -1, O/U 40.5, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Josh Allen 20 Rushing Yards

  • Over 20 rushing yards in four out five of games (80%) this season, averaging 5.2 carries for 32 yards.
  • Over 20 rushing yards in three consecutive games, averaging 39.7 rushing yards and 7.9 yards per carry during that span.
  • One of six quarterbacks to make four-plus starts and average over 30 yards on the ground (32), handling the ninth most carries (5.2) per game at the position.
  • 18.7% rush share trailing only James Cook (50.4%) for second on the team — Cook is questionable with a toe injury.
  • Season-high 54 rushing yards Week 5, playing without leading receiver Khalil Shakir (questionable) for the first time.
  • The Jets are seventh in DVOA against the pass (-8.7%), but 24th against the rush (-1.8%), allowing 119.2 rushing yards per game.
