There’s a handful of sports that are being offered today, with the NBA and NHL playoffs now both underway while MLB continues to truck along. For this article, I will specifically be focusing on my favorite PrizePicks for NBA and MLB.
My focus for this article will be around a site called “PrizePicks,” a creative new way to parlay picks based on expected fantasy point production.
The format is simple. You pick two, three, or four players and predict whether or not they will go over or under their projected fantasy point total.
When parlaying the players, the larger your parlay, the better the payout:
- Two-pick entry pays 2.5x (max entry: $400)
- Three-pick entry pays 5x (max entry: $200)
- Four-pick entry pays 10x (max entry: $100)
As a bonus offer, there is a “flex play” option if you choose to run a four-man parlay. This will provide some security, as you can earn 1.5x your buy-in if three of your four picks hit.
MLB games start at 1:10 p.m. ET Monday, while the NBA doesn’t tip off until 5:50, giving you more than enough time to stagger your entries and focus on one sport at a time. In terms of NBA picks, there are only eight possible selections currently on PrizePicks, so I have cut back on my picks from five to four.
Scoring breakdown for PrizePicks contests can be found here.
