DFS Core Plays & Stacks for Week 4

Share

There’s nothing quite like NFL DFS, with a new sweat every week. Some may view the game as just a hobby, while others use it as a meaningful source of income to help build their bankroll week to week. Whatever your goal may be, it’s important to set benchmarks and track your progress throughout the season to ensure your process is sound.

One of the easiest ways to become a profitable DFS player and maximize your ROI is through contest selection and entering tournaments best suited to your strengths. Cash games are a great way to double your entry fee, playing the best median projected lineup, only needing to beat a little over half of the field. With that said, if you’re looking for an even bigger payday GPPs would be the preferred route, with payouts issued to the top-scoring lineups that crack the upper percentile of the contest.

Each week, I’ll go position by position, breaking down my core plays for tournaments, in order of descending salary. And I will always stack my core quarterbacks, so look out for pairings when building your lineups. I’ll continue to update the article up until kickoff, adjusting for any late-breaking news throughout the weekend with a better gauge of rostership. I’ll also be available in the FTN Daily Discord to answer questions and share my thoughts throughout the week.

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles ($7,200)

Only makes the core if A.J. Brown is in as a spend-up-to-be contrarian play, currently projected at 6% rostership.

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders ($6,500)

Jayden Daniels stole the show Monday night, carving up Cincinnati’s defense on the ground and through the air and finishing as a top-three quarterback for the second time in three games. He set a single-game rookie record in completion rate (91.3%), connecting on 21 out of his 23 dropbacks for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and he finally threw downfield, averaging 11 yards per attempt. As a runner, Daniels handled double-digit carries for a third consecutive game, rushing 12 times for 39 yards and a score and leading the Commanders in rushing yards. With Daniels under center, Washington’s offense has been clicking on all cylinders, scoring on a league-high 64% of their drive, entering Week 4 as the only team without a single turnover. There aren’t many quarterbacks with the same floor/ceiling combo as Daniels, who is set up for another eruption spot, playing in the highest game total on the slate (50.5), facing a Cardinals defense ranked 29th in DVOA against the pass (31.5%), allowing the tenth most fantasy points (17.8) per game to opposing signal callers. It’s also a #RevengeGame for offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who should have every incentive to pour it on his former team.
