With a spread-out slate of day baseball Wednesday, we are going to attack the main (7:10 p.m. ET) MLB DFS slate here. We have some big names up top with Chris Sale, Freddy Peralta and Corbin Burnes whom, while all deserving of the respect, have had some recent inefficient (or in the case of Burnes, downright poor) outings that would give us some pause in using them at their respective elevated price points. It is entirely possible that these guys are just tired, and so the efficiency is starting to wane, but whatever the case might be, there’s a reasonable argument to be made that an $8,800 Joe Musgrove is the surest thing on the slate. Weird times.

We have the indefatigably volatile Kyle Harrison on the slate of course, and you know the drill by now with him, but the price is a little bit too much for me here. Just below him is an abyss of unknown, with former top prospect and collegiate ace Jack Leiter, who has torn up the minors and been torn up by MLB pitching, the corpse of Walker Buehler and David Festa running into the all of a sudden buzzsaw Braves offense. You could make a case for using or stacking against all three of those and I wouldn’t fault you for it.

But first, we shouldn’t be making lineups without consulting the tools, such as –
