NFL Preseason Week 3 is here.

We have three games on the Friday DFS slate. I will list my favorite plays at each position for the day’s matchups and provide you with a core to build around in your main lineups. Preseason info can be tough to find, but I will include all updated news with the NFL DFS channel in the FTN Discord as lock approaches. Let’s dive in.

Quarterback

Joshua Dobbs/Brandon Allen/Tanner Mordecai, San Francisco

Dobbs is a preseason DFS legend. Playing time concerns are the only limiting factor. San Francisco seemed to love Brandon Allen, which could give Dobbs the DFS edge. Head coach Kyle Shanahan also praised Tanner Mordecai after his first preseason game, so this is a hard read. My choice is Dobbs, but this is a critical choice to get right. Check back in Discord later.

Trevor Lawrence/Mac Jones/E.J. Perry, Jacksonville

Here we go with another “starters will play two quarters” declaration. I don’t buy it, but I still see Lawrence as the top quarterback on the slate. Thursday, Anthony Richardson connected with AD Mitchell on touchdown and was the optimal play for most of the night, but he was still passed by Logan Woodside and Ian Book late. Therein lies the issue: Lawrence could perform well and still not be the optimal QB choice. Mac Jones will see time, but I favor the newly signed E.J. Perry as a second choice. C.J. Beathard’s injury forced the Jaguars to bring back the familiar Perry. He could definitely post a late touchdown or two and will have minimal rostership.
