I’m going to approach things a little bit differently Friday, as the massive MLB DFS slate with few points of distinguishment between individual pitchers makes individual pitchers matter less, and properly grouping the pitchers into the correct bucket of risk/reward matter more. On a slate such as this, I’ve found it is far more important to find the offense or offenses that put up an outlier score and reap as much production from those offenses as possible while also not getting killed by pitching. We will survive getting a 22-point outing from our pitcher instead of a 30-point outing, but we will be left in the dust if our five-man stack puts up 4 runs and the Orioles put up 14 runs, for example.
Whatever you guys think of this article format, it is always great to get feedback, and would be good to know if it is useful stylistically when appropriate given the slate type.
