Moves to Make Now in Dynasty Fantasy Football (6/28)

Share

For the first time in the “Dynasty Moves to Make” series, we’re going to do a little dumpster diving. We still have some buys, and a sell, but I will also identify a couple players you should scour for on your waiver wire. As a reminder, buying doesn’t mean getting a player for K.J. Osborn and a pair (set?) of kitten mittens. Selling doesn’t mean you must rid your rosters of said player for 10 cents on the dollar. When players are improperly valued, take advantage.

Dynasty Moves to Make Now: Buys

Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Despite lining up in the slot for 50% of his snaps every season of his career, Chris Godwin saw that drop to 37% in 2023. That won’t be the case in 2024. Head coach Todd Bowles and new offensive coordinator Liam Coen have spent the offseason declaring that Godwin is moving back into the slot. Coen comes from the Sean McVay coaching tree, serving in various roles for the Rams including offensive coordinator in 2022. He’s made it explicitly clear that Godwin will play an integral role in the Bucs offense, similar to how Cooper Kupp is used in Los Angeles. Still just 28 years old, Godwin has quickly become one of my favorite offseason targets.

Players I’d be willing to trade for Godwin 1 for 1: Raheem Mostert, DeAndre Hopkins, Jameson Williams

Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers

The hate on Najee Harris has gone too far. Despite constantly getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage thanks to a poor run-blocking unit and a former offensive coordinator whose playcalling was about as creative as a pair of tighty-whities, Harris has rushed for over 1,000 yards and seven or more touchdowns in each of his three seasons. Harris had a career-best 4.1 yards per carry and the second-most broken tackles in the league (30) last year. The Steelers declined his fifth-year option, which is honestly best for him. Harris will be elsewhere in 2025, possibly sooner if Pittsburgh looks to deal him to a running back-needy team this season.

Players I’d be willing to trade for Harris 1 for 1: Aaron Jones, David Montgomery

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants

Incoming rookie Malik Nabers is by far the Giants’ wide receiver with the highest ceiling, but there’s some sneaky potential in Wan’Dale Robinson. Another year removed from an ACL injury that cut his rookie campaign short, the speedster heads into the 2024 season healthy. While Nabers may be new in Giants blue, Darren Waller and Saquon Barkley are both gone. Robinson was just one target behind Darius Slayton for the team lead last year and led the Giants in receptions (sadly, with 60). The Giants offense is still putrid on paper and likely on the field. However, Robinson could provide flex production at a minimal cost.

Players I’d be willing to trade for Robinson 1 for 1: Khalil Shakir, Adam Thielen, Marvin Mims
