Brandon Aiyuk A Worthy Play In Divisional Round

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will look to carry his 2023 fantasy breakout into the playoffs when he faces the Green Bay Packers at home in the Divisional Round. In his last five full games, Aiyuk has averaged 7.2 targets, 5.4 receptions, and 87.2 receiving yards per game. He had two touchdowns in that time frame. Over Green Bay's last five regular-season games, they allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers. As of Week 17, Green Bay had run an even split of zone and man coverage, ranking 17th in each, which is relevant since Aiyuk tends to do better against man-heavy schemes. Aiyuk should be a good option in fantasy this week, and a worthy DFS play if moderately priced.

Elijah Mitchell Unlikely To Contribute Much In Divisional Round

San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell will back up starter Christian McCaffrey in Saturday night's Divisional Round tilt versus the Green Bay Packers. Mitchell finished the regular season with a career-low 3.7 yards per attempt and two touchdowns, almost exclusively as McCaffrey's injury and garbage-time replacement. Conceivably, DFS players willing to gamble on those scenarios occurring on Saturday could find a healthy return on minimal investment but otherwise, Mitchell should not be considered for fantasy lineups.

Brock Purdy A Strong Play In Divisional Round

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will look to take care of business at home in Saturday night's Divisional Round contest against the upstart Green Bay Packers. The second-year pro out of Iowa State enjoyed a breakout season in the regular season, finishing as the QB6 in total fantasy points. Green Bay's pass defense was decent in the regular season, finishing as the 12th-toughest defense against quarterbacks in fantasy. Last week in Dallas, they allowed Dak Prescott to post 403 yards passing and three touchdowns, though they did collect two interceptions, and it took Prescott a whopping 60 attempts to get there. Purdy is right up there with the top QB options in DFS and playoff pools this week, though he'll probably have a tough time outproducing Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, who are more likely to contribute rushing numbers. Low-intensity rain and wind are expected during the game, which could lead to fewer passes, but Purdy hasn't needed large attempt totals this year to do damage.

George Kittle Ready To Go Against Packers

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (back) put in three full practices this week and was removed from the final injury report on Thursday. He will play in the Divisional Round of the postseason on Saturday versus the visiting Green Bay Packers. Kittle had some minor back spasms that kept him out of a meaningless Week 18 regular season finale and he had the bye week to rest up even more in the wild-card round. The 30-year-old will be a popular DFS play in the Divisional Round this weekend after leading all tight ends in 2023 with 1,020 receiving yards despite not playing in Week 18. The Packers defense was a middle-of-the-road matchup for opposing tight ends, but they also allowed three touchdowns to Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson in the wild-card round. Kittle is the third-most expensive player at his position at DraftKings with a $5,200 price tag.

Christian McCaffrey Cleared To Play In Divisional Round

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (calf) practiced in full all week and was removed from the final injury report for the Divisional Round of the playoffs. After sitting out in the Week 18 regular season finale and during the team's bye in the wild-card round, CMC is good to go for Saturday's game against the Green Bay Packers despite straining his calf in Week 17. Even coming off an injury and having not played the last two weeks, the 27-year-old is easily DraftKings' highest-priced RB for the Divisional Round. He's been worth paying up for all year in DFS lineups, as he led the NFL at his position in scrimmage yards and should remain heavily involved on the ground and through the air against Green Bay. The Packers defense was a top-15 matchup for opposing RBs in terms of half-PPR points allowed per game in the regular season as well.
